Trick to having green onions (scallions) forever!

Here are my green onions. They have been growing steadily for a month now. they grow, I harvest them, then more grows back. It's awesome!! I love green onions in my food, and growing them myself makes it free of pesticides and...well... FREE. All you have to do Is buy yourself a bunch of green onions from the grocery store look for the organic and ones that have roots. Cut and use all but about two inches of the onion (the white bulb part).
 Now you have two options, you can place it in a cup of water and change the water every so often, or you can place it in dirt. I went with the dirt option because I don't want to have to remember to change the water. After about two days you will see these little boogers growing... and growing... and growing. So when they are tall or bent over because they are too heavy go ahead and clip them down to the white part. . Tada! that's it. Enjoy!!
